At Watertech Mechanical Inc., we believe mechanical systems are more than pipes, equipment, and fixtures. They are the foundation of comfortable homes, efficient buildings, thriving businesses, and healthy communities.
For more than 15 years, we have been helping developers, builders, property managers, and owners across Alberta bring projects to life through dependable plumbing, heating, hydronic, HVAC, gas fitting, and mechanical solutions.
Whether we are working on a multifamily development, healthcare facility, commercial space, industrial project, or building service program, our goal remains the same:
Deliver quality work, maintain clear communication, and support our clients from concept to completion.
Water Tech Mechanical Inc's story is built on perseverance, hard work, and a belief that every opportunity should be earned.
Founder and President Meraj Ahamad was born into a farming family in a remote village in Bihar, India.
In 2000, he left his village and moved to Mumbai to pursue plumbing education while working to support himself. A year later, he moved to Dubai and began working as an assistant plumber, contributing to major hospitality and high-rise developments.
Through years of hands-on experience, he advanced from tradesperson to material coordinator and eventually to maintenance engineer, gaining practical knowledge in construction, commissioning, and building operations.
In 2008, Meraj immigrated to Calgary, Alberta, where he joined the Canadian construction industry and obtained his Red Seal certification.
In 2011, with determination, industry experience, and limited financial resources, he founded Water Tech Plumbing & Heating Ltd.
What started as a small local business has grown into a mechanical contractor delivering projects throughout Alberta, employing skilled tradespeople, apprentices, project managers, and support staff.
Today, Water Tech Mechanical Inc. continues to evolve while remaining grounded in the same values that shaped its beginning:
Integrity. Accountability. Safety. Continuous Improvement.
To provide reliable, cost-effective, and innovative mechanical solutions that create long-term value for our clients, employees, and communities.
To become one of Western Canada's most respected mechanical contractors by delivering exceptional workmanship, investing in people, embracing innovation, and building lasting partnerships.
Every employee has the right to return home safely at the end of the day.
We believe in doing the right thing, even when no one is watching.
We take ownership of our commitments and stand behind our work.
Strong relationships and collaboration lead to successful projects.
We continuously improve our processes, systems, and technical capabilities.
