Applies To: All commercial plumbing, HVAC, gas fitting, hydronic, preventive maintenance and emergency service work performed by Water Tech Mechanical Inc.
These Standard Service Terms & Conditions apply to all service calls, preventive maintenance agreements, emergency call-outs, inspections and repair work performed by Water Tech Mechanical Inc., unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Service may be requested by phone, email or approved online methods. Work will commence after authorization from the client or authorized representative.
Labour, material, equipment, travel and applicable taxes are billed in accordance with Water Tech’s current rate schedule unless otherwise agreed in writing.
A minimum service charge may apply to each service visit. Additional time is billed in accordance with the applicable hourly rates.
Emergency, weekend, statutory holiday and after-hours work is billed at the applicable premium rate published by Water Tech.
Repair estimates are based on visible conditions only. Hidden defects discovered after work begins may require additional authorization and pricing.
Clients shall provide safe access to equipment, utilities, required permits (where applicable), and authorization for work. Delays caused by restricted access may result in additional charges.
Replacement parts are subject to availability. Equivalent products may be used where original equipment is unavailable, unless otherwise requested.
Preventive maintenance services are performed in accordance with the agreed maintenance schedule. Recommendations resulting from inspections are quoted separately unless included in the maintenance agreement.
Deficiencies discovered during service that are outside the authorized scope will be reported to the client before corrective work proceeds whenever practical.
Invoices are due according to agreed credit terms. Interest of 1.5% per month (18% annually) may be charged on overdue accounts.
Water Tech warrants its workmanship for 90 days on service repairs unless otherwise stated. Manufacturer warranties apply to replacement parts and equipment supplied.
Warranty does not cover normal wear, lack of maintenance, misuse, freezing, corrosion, water quality issues, existing system deficiencies, or work performed by others.
Water Tech reserves the right to suspend or refuse work where unsafe conditions exist until the hazard has been corrected.
Water Tech’s liability is limited to the value of the services provided. Consequential, indirect or business interruption damages are excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Water Tech is not responsible for delays caused by weather, supplier shortages, utility failures, labour disruptions or other events beyond its reasonable control.
For construction-related service work, Water Tech reserves all rights available under Alberta’s Prompt Payment and Construction Lien Act, including lien and collection rights where applicable.
These terms are governed by the laws of Alberta and the applicable laws of Canada.
These Standard Service Terms & Conditions, together with any quotation, work order, maintenance agreement or approved service authorization, constitute the entire agreement unless amended in writing.
